HOW TO CLEAN OUR JEWELRY

Wash with warm water and a drop of gentle dish soap. Use a soft brush or cloth, then dry thoroughly. For white gold, rhodium plating may fade over time and can be re-plated to restore brightness. Avoid chlorine which can weaken gold. Keep away from abrasive surfaces. Good for everyday wear but should be routinely cleaned. Store pieces separately to minimize scratching, especially softer 18k gold. Gold pieces can be polished by your local jeweler.

GEMSTONES

Cleaning: Clean with a soft cloth and warm, soapy water. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and steam, especially for softer stones like turquoise, emerald, tourmaline, and morganite.

Care Cautions: Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, prolonged sunlight, and sudden temperature changes, which can damage color and clarity. Store separately to avoid scratches.

Wear Recommendations: Remove gemstone jewelry before exercising, swimming, or handling household cleaners to preserve their brilliance over time.

DIAMONDS

Cleaning: Soak in warm water with mild dish soap, then gently brush with a soft toothbrush. Rinse and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.

Care Cautions: Even though diamonds are hard, their settings can loosen over time. It’s recommended to check prongs or bezels periodically.

Wear Recommendations: Diamond jewelry can be worn daily, but it’s best to take it off before any high-impact activity or contact with abrasive surfaces.

OPALS

Cleaning: Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid any soaps, chemicals, or ultrasonic cleaners.

Care Cautions: Opals are sensitive to heat, dryness, and sudden temperature shifts. They can craze or crack if exposed to intense sunlight or very dry conditions.

Wear Recommendations: Best worn occasionally rather than daily. Store in a cool, dark place. Storing them with a bit of humidity can help prevent drying.

CERAMIC

The biggest danger to ceramic is cracking due to the impact of dropping it on hard surfaces. Wrap ceramic jewelry in a soft cloth before storing to prevent the jewelry from sustaining chips or scratches from your other jewelry. WHAT TO AVOID?

Apply makeup, perfume and hair spray before putting on jewelry, and do not wear your gold or enameled pieces in a swimming pool. Chlorine can damage gold, causing it to pit or become brittle. Gold pieces can be polished by your local jeweler.

Upon receipt of the order, you will receive an order confirmation and a FoundRae team member will reach out within 3-4 business days with order updates or a tracking number. Lead-times vary by item type. We do have limited inventory in our store but generally keep stock of all core medallion and chain options. If the piece is in stock we can ship immediately, but if we do not have inventory, each piece is individually made and requires a 4-6 week shipping window.

- Rings require a 4-6 week lead time, as we do not carry all sizes.
- Custom pieces require a 6-8 week shipping window .

Please inquire if there is a greater urgency to the timing of the delivery. We wish to accommodate customer’s delivery requests if it’s in our ability.

You can choose to cancel your order within 24 hours of receipt of shipping window notice. If we do not receive a notice of cancellation within 24 hours, we will go forward with production and the return policy will apply.

Domestic Shipping Options

Domestic orders are shipped FedEx insured 2-day for free with a minimum purchase of $1000. All orders under $1000 will ship at a $20 flat rate. 

Domestic orders also have the option for Fedex insured overnight at a $30 flat rate.

All shipments are subject to payment in full by customer. We will send you an email with a tracking number once your order has shipped. 

All packages are insured and your order confirmation email will note whether a signature is required at the time of delivery.

We offer same day delivery via messenger service for orders located in New York City ONLY for a $20 flat rate. For same day messenger delivery, orders should be placed before 4:30 pm in order to receive the same day. All messenger orders after 4:30 pm will be delivered the next day.

International Shipping Options

International orders are shipped by DHL at $75 flat rate (shipping service dependent on the shipping country). Any order shipping to the United Kingdom over $5000 qualifies for complimentary shipping

FedEx considers all U.S territories as international shipments (i.e Puerto Rico, Guam). All shipments and duties for both DHL and FedEx (if applicable) are subject to payment in full by customer. 

FoundRae is not responsible for any duties or taxes incurred by the country that we are shipping to. The customer is responsible to pay taxes and duties upon delivery.

All packages are insured and a signature is required upon receipt.
